Bernard Reynolds and his wife have two children, ages 4 and 5, and it can be difficult to get the whole family to come to the doctor.
“It’s tough,” Reynolds said.
The Reynolds have a clinic less than half a mile from their home, offering comprehensive services like pediatrics, dental, behavioral health, women’s services and more, all under one roof.
“They’re friendly. They make you feel welcome when you walk in,” Reynolds said.
In partnership with Mort Elementary, just down the street, TFHC’s location in Lutz offers financial services, an in-house pharmacy as well as an income-based mobile payment scale.
The goal of the clinic is to make it easier for families with children in school to get the care they need while avoiding local emergency rooms and other clinics.
“A strong emphasis on pediatrics because we’re so close to Mort,” said Sherry Hoback, President and CEO of TFHC. “We want to make sure kids stay in school, because we know that when they stay in school, and moms and dads don’t have to miss work, we do better and better. health.”
TFHC is opening its 16th clinic later this summer in Tampa, near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Habana.
