Aspiring to the governorship under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform, Senator Obinna Ogba maintained that his rule if elected would not be for him and his family alone.
Ogba, who is currently a sitting senator representing the central senatorial zone of Ebonyi in the National Assembly, made the vow when he received thousands of his supporters who received him in Abakaliki.
Ogba, also added that he will restructure the health system from the primary sector to the tertiary sector to reduce maternal and child deaths and other preventable loss of life in the state.
His words “During our period of service, our people will know that the mechanized system of agriculture is achievable through partnership with the faculties of agriculture and departments of our institutions of higher education.
“We will harness our cultural and tourism sector and repackage it into a marketable business through the search and development of talent and the growth of our tourist centers.”
“Re-establishing our scholarship program and our program both overseas and domestically through international and interstate partnership. Our students will be happy again.
“The responsible use of our natural resources for the benefit of all Ebony people. Our communities and people will be happy and safe again.
“The restoration of our sports sector, in particular the prestigious Ebonyi Angels and Queens and other sporting activities, as a means of tackling crime, youth unrest and building youth engagement.
“Reinventing the respected framework of our public service system and giving meaning to our civil servants. Our officials and officials will be happy again.
“Our program will focus on empowering young people with lucrative businesses and not with guns and other dangerous weapons.
“The less privileged and people living with disabilities will have a voice and play the role of essential actors that they are. We are partners in progress.
“Under our watch, every citizen is a stakeholder and will be treated as such.
“Our markets, businesses, transport and other business sectors will have a human face in order to attract investors and not the usual rough, crude and ‘gangsterist’ approach. “No more need to knock our men and women out of the market”
