The Rome Branch of the NAACP will host a Family Health Fair and two free screenings of the Disney Pixar film, “Soul,” at the Cinema Capitol, 230 W. Dominick St., on Sunday, February 27, at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Advance reservations or tickets are not available, but those wishing to attend should plan to arrive early to secure their tickets, according to the announcement from event organizers.
In addition to the film, the NAACP will have a registered nurse available at the event from noon to 4 p.m. to take blood pressure readings and discuss heart health.
In addition to blood pressure and heart health features, a medical professional will be on hand to administer COVID-19 booster shots for adults as well as pediatric vaccines, event organizers added.
Free hand sanitizer and home COVID testing will be available to all attendees, according to the announcement.
In addition to the Rome branch of the NAACP, the event is made possible through the support of sponsors Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Mohawk Valley Health Systems, The Center and the Capitol Arts Complex.
