On Tuesday, the Samuel Dixon Family Health Center, Inc. (SDFHC), in partnership with Christy Smith and Grocery Outlet, donated dinners for their Thanksgiving dinner.

“We look forward to the Turkey Gift every year as it allows us to help our patients beyond their medical, dental and behavioral needs. SDFHC strives to ensure the overall well-being of patients and providing a Thanksgiving dinner for a family who may not have the resources to purchase is why we are continuing the annual tradition,” said Daisy Wyche, Executive Director of SDFHC.

SDFHC held a food drive at the Plum Canyon Grocery Outlet for the event, harvesting turkeys, mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, green beans and other non-perishable items.

The food was then collected by SDHFC staff and bagged for families in need.

“We recognized the importance of this year’s event due to the impact the pandemic has had on our community and how vital it was for us to continue our annual tradition of providing our families with all the necessary to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving dinner,” said Philip Solomon, Managing Director of SDFHC.
