The 30th Annual Family AfFair will take place March 19 at MCC | Community

It’s time to get ready for the 30th annual Family AfFair, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 at Mason Central Schools.

The theme of the year is Community Superheroes.

Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, the event will once again be hosted at the drive-thru, but this does not change the mission of the event, which is to prevent abuse and neglect in Mason County and to support socially and emotionally healthy families. .

Those who have participated in the past know that it is a wonderful time to celebrate family by participating, and those who have not participated are encouraged to start this year.

Each year for Family AfFair, representatives from area businesses and community organizations from our surrounding counties come together to provide resources, information and fun surprises to local families. This will happen again as every passing car will receive a bag of treats and we will also have the Feeding America truck on hand for food distribution.

Families will be amazed by the variety of activities and entertainment available in each gift bag. This event is completely free and participants do not need to leave their car to participate. The event is held at Mason County Central School by entering campus from Johnson Road, through the college parking lot.

Enter through Johnson Road and through the MCC Middle School parking lot.

There will be plenty of law enforcement from the area to help guide the way.

Everyone is welcome, but the organizers ask participants to try to bring their child or grandchildren in the car with them.
